How long does the delivery take?
FAQ-Beitrag
We usually ship your goods within 48 hours, provided that all items are available.
If this is not the case, we will contact you to clarify the further procedure.
We do recommend that you use a kettle with a thermostat or a tea water thermometer – but this is not a mandatory requirement. You can also use two rules of thumb to guide you:
First method: Wait and see
To do this, boil 1L of water in the kettle and wait for the times indicated below with the lid closed:
80° for oolongs & white teas – approx. 20 minutes
70° for green teas – about 25 minutes
Second method: recasting
Each time you transfer the water to another vessel, the water loses about 10 degrees in temperature.
80° for oolongs & white teas – 2 times repouring
70° for green teas – 3-4 times repouring
If you want to return items, just send us an email and we will take care of it right away.
Our refill bags always hold at least twice the filling quantity of a Tin. So you can conveniently refill them. The bags are garden compostable and plastic-free. On the compost they become food for microorganisms. A clean sweep, from start to finish, that is.
Yes, you can. We offer you free exchange/return 14 days after receiving the goods. Just contact us by mail.

Optimally: in your own compost! Within 180 days, the bags decompose completely.
If you don’t have compost, you can also dispose of them in the trash. Here you can see what happens to your bag:
- In the organic waste garbage can, the bag is composted if it is correctly identified by the disposal company. If not, it is burned or goes to a landfill.
- In the recycling garbage can, the bag is sorted out and incinerated.
- The bag is also incinerated in the residual waste.
- In nature, the bag is composted and a source of food for organisms. Important: Please do not dispose of bags in the environment!
The cans are made exclusively of tinplate and grass paper labels. Compared to normal paper made from virgin fibers, grass paper saves 99% water and 95% CO₂ in production.
With many teas, this works. Exceptions are herbal and fruit teas. We show you within the description on the respective product page with the multiple infusion symbol indicates that this tea is suitable.
Generally, the more often you infuse a tea, the longer you should let the infusion steep.
For green and black teas, 3-4 infusions are usually very good. If additives such as jasmine flowers are in the tea, certain flavor nuances may be lost.
Yes, unfortunately that is the case. To put a concrete figure on it, our sustainable, compostable and plastic-free bags cost about ten times as much to purchase as the plastic bag most competitors use. The same applies, of course, to the other packaging material: from cartons, filling material to banderoles and labels.
Our vision is to package tea sustainably for all – only together can we make a difference. This is not achieved with eco-surcharges to optimize profit margins. Therefore, we try to absorb these high costs as much as possible or compensate them in other places (for example, the low-cost shipping via Deutsche Post).
