Mate without hassle
With the stainless steel Bombilla you can drink mate tea very easy. The strainer at the bottom filters out the leaf pieces.
The flat shape of the filter is optimal for sliding the bombilla under the leaves during preparation. Speaking of preparation – here’s how:
- Take the calabash and put the bombilla (drinking straw) in it at an angle
- Now fill the mate to the very top
- Now fill the calabash with 70 °C hot water. Important: Do not stir! The bombilla remains in its position.
- Drink the mate tea immediately. The first infusion is the most bitter, so traditionally the host drinks it
- Keep adding water and passing the calabash around – or keep it all to yourself. We also find this absolutely understandable.
