Rooibos tea is not a tea in the classical sense, so it does not come from the leaves of the tea plant. You can learn more about the tea plant here. Redbush (or rooibos) is a shrub cultivated on the slopes of the Cedar Mountain in South Africa. Red bush is cut into small pieces after harvesting and dried in the sun.
Rooibos teas taste sweet, light and fresh. Rooibos is caffeine-free, which makes it ideal for children, pregnant women and people with high blood pressure. No wonder it is also the national drink of South Africa!
Rooibos is ideal as a base for refinement with other flavors. Take a look around our store::
Rooibos teas are infused at 100°. The brewing time is 10 minutes. Rooibos tea does not bittern. Rooibos is not suitable for multiple infusions.
